3 NJSL staff; 2 trustees; one director

Step 10
DUCK tour entering river http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmrQtrNXT5c

Gave information to coworker as was recently talking about DUCK tour.
You can add video to library websites, but I don't know how much of an audience you would get. Also have to make sure with all filmed that it is OK to post.

Step 11
found http://www.booklistonline.com/ReviewOfTheDay.rss. Interesting aggregator if you need to find something.

Step 12
What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
Glad to find access to word processing and spread sheets when on the road and without access to Word and Excel.

How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
Some things already using. Some things didn't know before and now know.

Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
Can't think of any. Expected to learn new things and did.

What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?
Very well done.

And last but not least…
If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?
If it was something I wanted to learn and I had time, sure.
Reviewed flicker pictures for NJSL Trustee institute.

Lots of library uses. Staff procedures manual would be very productive.

Sent Zoho document to blog successfully (see prior post). Have used 2.0 tools before like Zillo. Using Zillo is quick way to research tax records.

  1. Create a free account for yourself in Zoho Writer.
  2. Explore the site and create a few test documents of two.
  3. Try out Zoho Writer’s features and create a blog post about your discoveries.
  4. Select any site/tool from the list of Web 2.0 Awards nominees. (If you prefer to select from just the winners, here’s a link to the short list.)
  5. Explore the site you selected.
  6. Create a post about your discovery. What did you like or dislike about the tool? What were the site’s useful features? Could you see any applications for its use in a library setting?

Delicious looks useful for research and bookmarks. Tags were clear. Didn't see notes but will check when have more time.
None are hard. Like "view problems as challanges" best. By definition, anyone participating in TT is a master at lifelong learning.
